I’m Danny — the guy behind ToolCompare.ai — and if I’m honest, this whole project started because I was tired of wasting time.
Every time I needed a new AI tool, I’d fall into the same trap: 20 tabs open, every site saying the same thing, every “review” clearly written by someone who never touched the tool. I kept thinking, there has to be a better way to figure out what actually works.
So I built it myself.
ToolCompare.ai is my personal testing ground. I try the tools, break them, compare them, push them into real workflows, and then I tell you what actually happened. No hype. No recycled content. No pretending. Just me, sitting at my desk, running these tools through the same kind of work you’re probably doing too.
I care about the details — the stuff most sites skip:
- Does the tool actually save time?
- Does it break when you push it?
- Is the pricing fair or just marketing fluff?
- How does it compare to the tool everyone thinks is the best?
- Would I personally use it again tomorrow?
I built this site because I wanted a place where the answers were honest, practical, and based on real use — not affiliate‑driven rankings or AI‑generated summaries.
Everything you read here comes from me. Every comparison. Every verdict. Every recommendation. Every “this tool is great” and every “this tool is not worth your time.”
I’m not a corporation. I’m not a team of writers. I’m just someone who loves testing tools, building workflows, and helping people cut through the noise so they can get back to doing real work.

Thanks for being here — and for trusting the work I put into this. It means more than you think.
